Berlin, Germany - On April 14, Honghu Orthopedic Surgical Robot (Honghu) UX&UI System, developed by MicroPort NaviBot (Suzhou) Co., Ltd (MicroPort® NaviBot®), a subsidiary of Shanghai MicroPort MedBot (Group) Co., Ltd. (MicroPort® MedBot®), won the "iF DESIGN AWARD 2023" from nearly 11,000 entries from 56 countries/regions for its smooth interactive experience, recognizable and easy-to-use interface design.
As the first and only Chinese-developed orthopedic surgery robot that has been approved by NMPA, FDA, and CE, Honghu Orthopedic Surgical Robot has always been developed with the goal of "more personalized, safe and precise, and minimally invasive" orthopedic surgery and "more efficient" operator experience, and has continuously improved its performance and UI&UX "triple black technology" since the R&D project started in 2015. As the iF judges said, "Honghu Orthopedic Surgical Robot assists surgeons in orthopedic surgery by providing individualized planning for different surgical sites. The linear workflow user interface (UI) helps surgeons create accurate, visualized 3D surgery plans. The combined robotic arm and optical tracking system provides real-time dynamic skeletal rendering and feedback on the tool's working status, and evaluates surgical outcomes during the procedure using visual data and animations."
In addition, the core components of Honghu, from robotic arm to navigation system and control system, are all self-developed, which fills the gap in the field of joint replacement surgery robot in China. Relying on the strong R&D strength of MicroPort®, Honghu Orthopedic Surgical Robot has made breakthroughs in many underlying core technologies, making it a truly Chinese-developed product.
