On June 22, 2024, MicroPort® MedBot completed its latest international contract. Up to date, the accumulative orders for Toumai® Laparoscopic Surgical Robot outside of China have already surpassed 10 units. These orders span multiple countries and regions, leading the international commercialization process for domestically created laparoscopic surgical robots. The preliminary achievement of international sales scalability for the Toumai® robot signifies a turning point in the global surgical robot market, presenting a new landscape for the brand. This also underscores a monumental breakthrough for domestically created laparoscopic surgery robots in the global high-end medical equipment market, highlighting the widespread recognition and potent potential of the Toumai® robot in the international arena.

As the first and currently the ONLY laparoscopic surgical robot in Asia to receive EU CE certification, the Toumai® robot can be used in urology, general surgery, thoracic surgery, gynecology, pediatrics, and other departments for complex and challenging procedures. It offers advantages of high stability, high precision, and minimal invasiveness, aiding in rapid patient recovery. Its clinical value has been proven through large-scale surgical applications, earning widespread recognition from numerous medical institutions and doctors both domestically and internationally. With its advanced design concept and outstanding technical performance, it not only largely enhances the completion and success rate of complex and challenging surgeries by multi-department experts, improves patient satisfaction, but also helps medical institutions optimize surgical processes and reduce operational costs. Additionally, MicroPort® Robotics provides comprehensive technical support and mature systematic training services, enabling medical institutions to cultivate high-level robotic surgery teams and highly skilled local technical teams, thus improving the overall standards of diagnostic and treatment, and quality of medical services in the local healthcare industry.

During the SRS conference, over 1700 global top experts gathered to discuss the latest technologies and clinical applications of surgical robots. Hundreds of experts tried out the Toumai® robot, with nearly unanimous agreement that its overall performance ranks among the world's best. Additionally, the leading remote surgical solution by MicroPort® MedBot has garnered recognition from surgeons worldwide. In February of this year, the Toumai® surgical robot completed the world's first "global" remote surgical operation validation, ushering the robotic remote surgery in an era of global village. Currently, the Toumai® robot has assisted in hundreds of remote clinical surgeries in urology, general surgery, thoracic surgery, gynecology, and pediatric surgery, achieving a success rate of 100% and setting more than 20 global firsts. These include validations in various climates and natural environments such as plateaus, islands, deserts, and mountainous regions, ensuring system stability, technical reliability, and clinical safety of surgical robots, and promoting the sharing of high-quality medical resources. With the continued increase in international sales of the Toumai® robot, Chinese remote surgery technology is expected to break the global imbalance in medical resources, helping more developing countries overcome geographical restrictions, changing doctors' diagnosis and treatment patterns, and truly benefiting patients worldwide.

Dr. He Chao, President of MicroPort® MedBot, stated: “With the CE approval and accelerated international commercialization of the Toumai® robot, its international market applications are taking initial steps forward. In the future, we will continue to focus on technological innovation and global market expansion, establishing a more comprehensive international sales and service network. Our aim is to provide more high-quality and accessible surgical robot solutions for global patients and doctors, truly achieving the vision of “‘Making Surgery easier, safer, and less invasive’”.
