Shanghai, China --- The kick-off ceremony of multi-disciplinary and multi-center clinical trial with Toumai^® Laparoscopic Surgical Robot (hereinafter referred to as “Toumai^®”) independently researched and developed by Shanghai Microport Medbot (Group) Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as “Microport^® MedBot^®”) was successfully held in Shanghai Chest Hospital on November 18, 2021. The clinical trial of the safety and effectiveness of Toumai^® in thoracic surgery were conducted by Shanghai Chest Hospital as the principal unit, and Professor Luo Qingquan, a famous thoracic surgery expert, as the principal investigator, in conjunction with Professor Yu Bentong from the First Affiliated Hospital of Nanchang University, Professor Xu Jinzhi from the Fourth Hospital of Harbin Medical University and Professor Gou Yunjiu from Gansu Provincial Hospital. The official kick-off of clinical trial in Shanghai Chest Hospital marks a new milestone of Toumai^® in multi-disciplinary and multi-center clinical trial.
